Bonne fête du Canada!
Happy Birthday Canada! It’s the first year I know that I’ve celebrated it thanks to my lovely Portia. I was trying to cook some good food for us to each but she insisted on bombing me with water balloons. Needless to say we are eating late this evening. It’s very cool that both Canada and the US celebrate similar but separate holidays within just a few days of one another. I had absolutely no idea the holiday existed. That’s some Americanism for you ain’t it. Continue reading
Summer is almost here! Who else is excited?! Let’s geek out in our fancy new swimwear, play some games, and have a blast!
“Babe. You’re suppose to let me win!” Ok, ok, I have to be honest, Portia would not say that. She’s actually quite good at the games we do play together. If anything it’s me trying to keep up with her. At least when it comes to The Elder Scrolls Online. We decided to spend the night in last night and just relax. It started out that way at least. After hours of gaming and loads of food that is probably not great for us we ended up tangled in a pool float. Who would win, the “magic glowy spell slinging” mage Portia or the “light things on fire with burning arrows” hunter Lucky?! NOBODY KNOWS! Continue reading
We find our heroine on the trail of the local drug kingpin. She bursts through the door of his warehouse after dispatching the thugs protecting it. Does the kingpin fall or does our heroine meet her end…
I have had the idea for this shot in my head for about two weeks now. I worked on the scene off and on over that time, picking it up every now and again for other projects we had going on. It kind of made it drag on longer then anticipated but we finally got it setup and DONE a couple of days ago. Sadly I wasn’t able to finish the work on the picture since it was Tuesday and I’ve got raiding on Tuesday/Wednesday night. I managed to get a bit done before each night and have to say I am pretty happy with the result. Continue reading
Life is funny, isn’t it?
Lucky and I weren’t always an item. Heck, you can even see posts on this blog where I introduce him as my brother because, for the longest time, we were brother and sister in Second Life. Not in the creepy Game of Thrones way (*cough*don’twakethedragon*cough*) but we were closer than friends. We took care of one another, supported one another, and during those times where our lives took us in completely different directions, there was always the security that came with knowing that there was someone, somewhere that accepted and cared for you no matter what. We could always come back.
It all started with a tub.
In getting ready for the November round of We❤ Role-Play (We❤ RP), this was the very first item brought to my attention and I have to say, I’m glad it was the first. This bath tub from Noble Creations ( [NC] ) is just stunning in regular SL windlight (check the raw shot below) and I knew immediately that I had to use it in some way. Somehow. There’s a definite old world vibe here, only enhanced by the sexy Spartan helm, with red or black plume, and pauldrons also available this round from the same awesome creator.
The trick, as always, was capturing this feeling of opulence with just a hint of danger. I asked my man Lucky for a favour. Ahem.
After this point, the post isn’t completely safe for work. Bookmark for later if you’ve gotta. Heck, IM me for a style card or just to say “hey” and I’ll give you all the details! After this point, there’s a bit of skin but nothing graphic; just your good buddy Portia looking out for you in a potentially-G-rated setting.❤

Good morning, everyone!
I hope everyone’s weekend is going well! Mine has been a bit nuts, but that’s not exactly news anymore, is it? I’ve snuck online in the ‘wea smalls’ to take these pictures, though, because I’ve had this idea for a post rattling around in my brain for about a week and it’s time to get it out, already!
This is becoming a thing I love to do more and more with fashion, due in large part to my love of fantasy and science fiction but also because I just love the look of mixing couture pieces with my role play gear. It’s what I love most about Second Life, really; we can do almost anything we want here, right? So why not play around with the things we love and challenge the concept that there is some bizarre line between ‘fantasy’ and ‘reality’ here. Second Life is a virtual world which, to me, means that it’s all fantasy!
Okay, so first of all I have one thing to say:
“YOU GUYS ARE IN BIG TROUBLE.”
Much like the last session, this round of The Fantasy Gacha is set on the Acerbus Silva sim and holy wow, there are a LOT of machines to tap. Just like last time, I went a little bit crazy in the first section, forgetting that there were still dozens of gacha machines tucked away in other parts of the event area. To help -you- avoid prematurely blowing through all of your lindens, however, I have decided to provide this map to show you just how massive the place is:
Bear in mind that the tiiiiny red tent at the lower left-hand corner of the picture is the landing point. You’ll cross the bridge into the first group of gacha machines and then proceed straight ahead or to your left. Do not forget that there are many, many vendors in each area, though! Pace yourself and remember that you can always come back later for another round. Breathe. You’ll get through this. Continue reading
“People think that everyone wears black in France; in fact they all wear grey.”
~ Jean Paul Gaultier
So, again, this is a post that got away from me. I had plans; everything was set in my mind, plotted to the last alpha layer. I was going to photograph shine’s Grey Collection in monochrome with vivid colour accents: bright red lips, stunning aquamarine eyes, verdant green foliage, and bold yellow gloves (you know how I love to play with gloves). When I signed in this morning, though, things came together differently.
I just love when outfits evolve on their own!
( This outfit is pure ‘shine;’ simple, comfortable, and still pretty stylish! )
Something you will notice, however, is that I kept each outfit very simple; after a month of shimmer, sparkle, and bright colour, it was refreshing to change gears this way. To ’embrace the grey,’ as it were. Continue reading
If your quiz results tended to be D’s, you’re probably a Pastel Princess! Hooray!
( A prettier, shinier, BIGGER picture on my flickr.❤ )
Mostly D’s – The Pastel Princess
You are a hopeless romantic, sweet and caring, with a love of silk and sparkle. Gold, silver, jewels .. you use them to good effect in a way that practically screams “dance with me!”
You love skirts, dresses, and leap at the opportunity to go dancing. You probably own a tiara and at least one pair of fairy wings, even if you never wear them out.
