Breathe Me

Today’s post begins with a lamp.  A lovely lamp from {what next} that I have in my living room (the one that never needs tidying or vacuuming and I never stub my toe on the coffee table). I’ve been wearing this coldLogic sweater a lot lately as well, and this hair from Exile that never seems to work with any outfit I want to blog. You have no idea how much I’ve wanted to photograph these two things; it’s been driving me crazy for weeks!

Breathe Me Story

So I’m realxing, considering what I should do next, and I was struck again by how pretty and simple this lamp is. I like simple things. I like clean lines and soft colours. I love textures that look snuggly and warm, especially when I’m feeling a little down (which I am). The lamp reminds me of all these things and since I’m already dressed in clothes I love, I sneak up to my platform for an experiment! Continue reading

Working Title: Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Tomorrow Today

First of all, I’m sure you can see why I went with a simpler title but let me explain:

It was always my intention to cover the Tomorrow Today event in installments; it’s the easiest thing in the world to promote a new event because most everyone has heard about it, been waiting for it, and are excited to see fantastic new offerings especially when proceeds are donated to a worthwhile cause. The thing with Second Life, though, is that time is a little skewed. Many things happen on a daily basis and the more time we spend here, the fuller every day seems to be. It’s easy to say “hey, I really love this __________, but I’ll just come back for it later. I won’t forget.

Sometimes we forget. We’re human. We err.

I was supposed to write this post yesterday under the borderline-creative-and-cheeky title “Tomorrow’s Tomorrow Today” but .. again, I’m as human as anyone. I didn’t get to it. Ugh. Continue reading

Of all the dresses ..

.. in all the shops in all of the SL events right now .. the CadyLady and I bought the EXACT SAME ONE. At Cinema.

Crazy, right? But really .. would you have been able to resist the Volstead ‘Liason’ in honey? This lacy, silky, sheer chemise (if you aren’t wearing the glitch layers) left me speechless the second I tried it on. I’m still having trouble drumming up the words to describe how much I love this piece. Just .. go to Cinema and pick up the demo so you can throw me a line, here.

Vintage Fair 2012 ~ Sneak Peek (Part 1)

So the upcoming Vintage Fair is NEWS, ladies and gentlemen. You’ve seen the teasers; classic lettering in sepia and silver hues, elegant men and women in their fedoras and pillbox hats reminding us of a time when people were just that darned classy.

Sponsored by CHIC Management, the:

Vintage Fair (from Aug 4th – Aug 29th) will showcase 250+ brands each exploring inspiration from the vintage eras of 1920 – 1980. We will also this year be allowing ‘Antique’ fashions (pre 1920s). With new and exclusive items from every brand involved and music every day.

Since when were the 80’s vintage?! Is anyone else feeling their years today? I’ll get to 80’s-inspired goodness in a little while but for now, I’m ALL about the classy.

A Romp in the Park

Happy Weekend, everyone!

I have to say, I’ve been fantasizing about this trip to the park ever since coldLogic released its new line of mesh ROMPERS but between this, that, and the other thing, it’s taken me an unheard-of EIGHT DAYS to get this post together. What the heck, right?

Anyway, like every coldLogic release since the beginning of time (or, you know, this year), these rompers are flipping CUTE, stylish, and perfectly easy to wear. Idina, compulsive fatpacker that she is, and I (recently converted quantum pack queen) spent quite a bit of time co-ordinating outfits for the next few shots to give you an idea of the different styles available at coldLogic right this very minute. We hope you like them!
